The Partnership for Forestry Education is a collaborative group of state, federal and private organizations that provide valuable educational resources to Oregon’s forest landowners, managers and operators.
Formed in response to budget reductions within key state agencies that impacted their capacity to deliver essential educational programming, the Partnership seeks to bridge funding gaps by offering high-quality, accessible resources to anyone who wants to learn more about forestry and forest management.
Partners include:
- American Forests
- Associated Oregon Loggers
- Committee for Family Forestland
- Ecotrust
- United States Department of Agriculture Natural Resources Conservation Service
- Oregon Association of Conservation Districts
- Oregon Department of Fish and Wildlife
- Oregon Department of Forestry
- Oregon Forest Resources Institute
- Oregon Small Woodlands Association
- Oregon State University Extension
- American Tree Farm System
- Society of American Foresters
- Sustainable Northwest
- United States Forest Service
- Western Forestry and Conservation Association
Partnership initiatives include co-developed educational programs, this website, a comprehensive landowner resource guide, and expanded access to forestry knowledge and best practices.
More details about each member of the Partnership for Forestry Education, along with extensive resources, are available in our Resources for Family Forest Landowners guidebook.
This Partnership was made possible through a grant from the USDA Forest Service, State and Private Forestry. Partial funding for the website was provided in part by a USDA Forest Service grant for small forest landowner education administered through the Oregon Department of Forestry.
