Oregon’s forests provide habitat for a wide range of wildlife species, and forest management often plays a key role in supporting them. Ongoing research offers crucial insights about the needs of individual species, as well as their response to forest management actions and how such activities can be improved to support wildlife and forests they depend on. The first occurrence of the Forest Wildlife Research Summit aims to bring together scientists, managers, woodland owners, students, and others with an interest in forest wildlife to discuss research on a diverse array of wildlife that depend upon forests. Sessions will include: + State of the State for Wildlife Research in Oregon (Panel) + Disturbance and Early Seral Ecosystems + Late Seral Ecosystems, Management and Conservation + The Role of Fire and Fire Associated Species + Research into Practice: Practitioner Panel
