October 9th, 2024 Alternative Approaches to Woody Residue Management
Join OFRI and our partners for a free, in-depth field tour of a suburban forestland parcel focused on fire risk reduction and habitat restoration. This event offers a unique opportunity to explore innovative methods for managing woody debris through live demonstrations and expert-led discussions.
Highlights of the tour include:
- Demonstrations of mastication and an air curtain incinerator (ACI)
- Presentations on fire risk reduction, invasive insect sanitation, cost-share options, biochar production, smoke management, and public health protection
